Debt Control - Get out of Debt with Debt Snowball Plan App Reviews

DONT BUY THIS USELESS APP

I got suckered into this app based on all the 5 star reviews. This app does absolutely nothing except convert your list of debts into a fancy pie graph. The app will tell you that your $2000 credit card bill will be paid off by February 2014, but doesnt show you how much you will be paying for interest and principal for each month during that time span. Do you have a new credit card with no interest for X months? Well you will have to manually change the interest rate after X months because the app doesnt have an option for you to set the current interest rate vs future interest rate increases. You cant set a daily accruing interest rate for loans, cant export spreadsheets. Get Debt Manager. It has many more options and a much better user interface.

Paid for Upgrade- data not transferable

This app is crap. Installed the light version. Entered all accounts, car loans, student loans. Lite version did nothing. Downloaded the paid version. No data is transferable. Waste of time and money. I wish I could bill the app makers for my hour + of data entry for nothing.

No graph of snowball size

No month to month burndown.

OK

I have 300K of debt with mortgage and student loans and with the snowball on the app says I will save 94,000,000 dollars. No idea why? Otherwise cool app, but would like an accurate amount please of savings with snowball.

Easy to use

This app is simple to use and shows when youll pay off the debt if using minimum payments plus the snowball method. At first, the amount saved by using the snowball was ridiculous, but the next morning it had corrected.

Not Happy

This app need a lot of improvement. No way to edit your entries. They automatically post to the next month instead of the current month you are working on. You cannot change entries. Money waisted.

Not practical for a paid app

After the 7th debt they all get lumped together as other in the graphical interface of a pie chart. These are the debts with the lowest balance which should be focused on the most depending on the method of snowball chosen by the user. Also the line graph is not very user friendly to establish a time frame for when each debt would be paid off completely rather than just the total balance. Overall I am very disappointed in this paid app.

Cant Do Simple Math

This app doesnt deserve a star. But, there is no way to post a review without giving it at least one star. 2008.50 @ 0.00% interest and a payment of 154.50 should equal 1854. According to this app it equals 1654. Questionable math.
